problem with selection via select layer with ctrl+left_click not respecting the "selected pixels" and "selected area"

i begun to notice that sometimes when i start painting or filling an area and decide to select it so in another layer i can do other colors that the entire selected area is not 'selected' what i mean is that there would be pixels not coloring or slightly coloring but still transparent towards the layer behind, then inversely when i start drawing and making lines and decide to make a layer selection to do stuff on another layer i would notice that places that are 'not selected' would start to get colored

is there a way to force clip studio to -stay within the selected area- ??

In the [Tool Properties] or [Sub Tool Details] of the [Selection Tool] or [Fill Tool], try turning on/off items such as [Trace Adjacent Pixels], [Close Gaps], [Color Error], and [Area Scaling], and changing their values.
Adjust so that you can [Select] or [Fill] in the state you want.

If this does not apply to you, try writing from the "Post an Answer" button below, and you may find another answer.

Transparent pixels can get really annoying. Instead of selecting them, just duplicate the layer, lock it and fill it with other colors. Or make a clipping layer on top and fill it.
