I have been with Corel Painter for years now. Their latest 2022 is broken hardcore, I want to find something that can give me that feel w/o the headache of having to learn a new program. How similar are the programs? I am super undecided, been watching YouTube videos all day. Which left me confused as it's all manga or cartooning. Which I do, but can I do landscapes, surreal, abstract with this program, and then Pro or EX? I am super confused and decided to ask the community of users about their thoughts. Thank you! I have a lot of questions, but the transition is one of the bigger ones. I am landlocked on arting, and I want to art! I've been doing research and this would be my next choice, I think? LOL I am just afraid it'll be too confusing going from Painter to CSP...Thanks in advance, again.

CLIP STUDIO PAINT does not simulate paint
No match for Painter
However, I think there are many people who are familiar with CLIP STUDIO PAINT.

2 years agoThank you so much for answering promptly and honestly. I am planning on trying the free trial, because you never know right? I'm more concerned with how different the programs work...and for the other suggestions! Painter Essentials 8 would be a huge step down from Painter 2022, same company, that's a starters (and cheaper) way to go from Painter 2022. Rebelle 4 was my 2nd choice, to your program, because I do character design as well. I am a artist that is very versatile for my clients needs and wants. But thank you so much for answering this! As I said I am planning on trying your program first, and then research Rebelle 4. But after all the binge watching of YouTube videos about CSP I was ready to try, but I have to make sure I have all of my information before purchasing, anything. Thank you again! The gallery shows a lot of character design and they're gorgeous but there are also a few that don't have characters that are stunning as well! I am looking forward to trying the free trial. See if it is something I would like to own.
