Apple pencil pressure sensitivity is not responding

I'm using the first generation Apple Pencil and a 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
Until a week ago, the pen pressure sensor was responding normally, but suddenly it started to become unresponsive. I've restarted the iPad and uninstalled the app, but it hasn't been fixed.
The pen that used to work has stopped responding, and I'm having trouble with it.
It's been about four years since I bought both of them, so I guess it's inevitable that they've deteriorated due to aging, but is there anything I can do?
