How do you create flesh tone on your characters? Been trying to blend, and everything looks artificial.

There are many ways to get a flesh tone on character, but it would depend on the style.
First question., What kind of style are you going for? If you are cell shading, many artist use multiply on a layer. You need to understand where a shadow would go.
if you going for a paint style you can do your tones in black or white. then you can use a gradient map with a flesh tone, or you can lock the layer and change the tones based on the color of the flesh, or you can go more traditional in a sense and color where the light is coming from. There are many possibilities!
Second question, is it the color from that you are trying to figure out? You can experiment with what colors feel right, but if you are having a hard time figuring that out, you can look up a flesh tone(s) palette online or you can get them from the assests here in clip studio. On a personal note, i would say if you try to figure out how the tone of skin works you should have a hue shift from where your lights and darks are.
Don't be ashamed to look up tutorials and use reference(s) if you need to. the Tips tab in Clip Studio Paint can give you good tutorials from professionals.
Do these methods and i know you will find your way! (Sorry if the images are hard to understand. i tried to make them as simple as i can. :D)
