How come when using the wand tool or the fill tool it doesn't select one color sometimes?

6 years agoIt proceeded to do the same thing,, except for when I changed it to refer to other layers it didn't take over the entire boot but there is still a border around the area.

6 years agoOk, the wand tool work perfectly is just a matter of settings. ^ ^
Now you just need to set the area scaling to 0, the area scaling is an automated action that you can set in which the selection is expanded automatically.
In your case will be 10px. I really reccomend you to put this value on 1px, but find the value in which you find yourself more comfortable. ^ ^
In the case of similar color, like brown and a burnt sienna color , the software cannot differenciate between them if you don't put a really small value on color margin. In your case something like 0 to 15, but even in this case find the value in which you're more comfortable.
