How do you make brush strokes more gradual in opacity using pen pressure?

Hello, I am trying to make a brush with brush strokes that gradually become darker as I input more pressure. I have turned on pen pressure for the "input affecting opacity" in hopes of achieving this, but the brush strokes always go from low opacity--->high opacity rather than low opacity---->medium opacity---->high opacity. Even if I make my pressure input very gradual, the opacity jump still remains. Sorry if this was worded poorly :( I am very new to CSP and would really appreciate it if someone could help out!

    Hello there
Currently there's no option to give color variation in the brushes, maybe in the future. But I thinking in a alternative software if you want to explore the possibilities of work digital paint
    I hope I've helped you

Sorry, I think I shouldn't have used the word 'darker'. What I really mean is, I would like the opacity of the brush to increase smoothly/gradually as I input more pressure. Nonetheless, thank you so much for your contribution!
