Vector Eraser: Not working as desired

Upon research I have been advised to do line art on Vector Layers. However, I do like vector layers, but using the vector eraser seems like I cannot use it "freeform" as I would a normal eraser. I only have 3 options; Intersection, touched areas, and whole ine. I don't want to eraser whole line neither an intersection, so I tried touched areas and when I do, it seems as though it changes the form of my lines or sometimes doesny exactly erase the touched areas! I plan to draw comics and this eraser is a problem. Whats the issue? Maybe I should stick with Raster Layers.

The eraser that erases the touched area of the vector uses the brush size circle as the intersection point and creates a control point there.
It is designed to erase vector lines within the brush size.
Since vector eraser performs processing based on control points, vector eraser cannot be used when using an eraser to thin lines.
By selecting a vector layer, creating a layer mask, and applying an eraser to the mask, the behavior will be the same as an eraser on a raster layer.

Vector eraser is mean to erase entire lines or the protruding points from lineart. It can't erase the line without cutting in half. But you can use a normal or any other eraser or vector layer too to get that raster erasing effect. It may make some extra thick lines get some weird shapes if you don't cut them off completely. You can also use any brush in transparent color to "erase" as transparent on your lines. The effect is exactly the same for vector and raster layers. But it will create a transparent line which may get in the way of fill tool in very narrow areas or hatches, so just grab a lasso fill and color those buggy areas manually, they are tiny. It's easy.
