When I was trying to purchase the annual subscription of clip studio pro, I used a visa gift card. When I went to purchase there was a pop up saying "We're sorry, we can't complete this payment with the selected card at this time. Please try another card." I was unaware that this would not work and I am wondering if there is it a way for it to work without paying through credit? Or if the system is just not working today? It should work, however I am just confused to why it isn't.

Gift cards can't be used to withdraw cash at an ATM machine or to get cash back at a checkout register. In addition, issuers do not allow cards to be used on Internet gambling sites or to set up recurring bill payments.
So you probably can't use it for subscription based services.- English
