How to improve line smoothness?

I was following a tutorial online and when they were drawing with a brush, their lines were so much less pixelated than mine. For context, the top leftmost drawing is the tutorial's while the other two is mine. How come their lines are so much smoother than mine and how do I make mine as smooth? The tutorial is on photoshop and I'm pretty sure that I'm using the same brush as the tutorial but I might be wrong.

Perhaps the canvas size you are using is too small... try a larger size.

a higher resolution will fix that. The more pixels that are in your canvas the smoother the look. Just like with TV screens!

That illustration of yours is a 1500*1500px canvas scaled to 309.4%. Enlarging the canvas makes the pixels stand out. Set the canvas magnification to around 100% and draw a picture of the same size as when you are enlarging it. If the picture seems to protrude from the canvas at that time, enlarge the canvas itself.
