・ If you select the tone list created outside the register mark, move to that layer.

I set it myself, but when I make a mask for the tone layer, the base layer is selected instead of the mask. The tweeter also made a mask, but it didn't look like he was reselecting the mask layer when he saw the video.

How do you set the tone layer?
-If you are toning a new tone, a solid layer, or a gradient layer, the mask side should be selected.

-If the raster layer is toned, the layer side will be selected instead of the mask.
If you are using this type of tone, you can do the tone work with the same operation by drawing a ● outside the frame [without masking].

If not, can you show me the layer palette?

As I wrote above, if you are toning a raster layer (rasterized layer), try drawing only a circle outside the frame without making a mask.
