I want to copy and paste a vector object into the same layer.

As shown below, I would like to copy and paste only the heart object drawn as a vector layer within the same layer.
Instead of pasting within the same layer, a new layer is copied.
What should I do?

30 days agoYou can merge tke layers, vectors will remain. Or if the object is a line or two, just use ctrl+right click/object tool to move it.

30 days agoIf you select a layer and "copy and paste" it, the entire layer will be duplicated in another layer.
Use the object tool to select the vector by clicking on it.
After that, you can use ``copy and paste'' to duplicate it on the same layer and in the same position, so you can't tell it apart, so use the object tool to move it.
