“Dedae_Llinars” answered: “When you enter ASSETS, go to the top right and you will see a symbol similar to a "gear" (a configuration symbol). If you select it, it gives you the option to "see where your materials are on your computer" and you can even change the location of where they are. that means (that knowing the location) you can and will allow you to copy the folder or even share it with the other computer.”
Does this work? I tried it and nothing happened. Is there a way to SAVE CUSTOM SUB-TOOLS and BRUSHES within CSP like what BrushBox now has for Photoshop?

6 years agoJust use Clip Studio cloud service, you are able to upload materials and settings to a cloud
and then download from/ to the other machine.- English

6 years agoQuincybatts, my friend...
I think that Memag is refering to the Assets service, if I'm wrong Memag please tell me because I'm trying myself to find a better way to store my brushes than the old trick of putting them in a dropbox folder.
P.s.:If you want to store a texture or a series of material even a brush is good enough, when you export a brush you export even the texture and the tips you used.- English

6 years agoWell I am using Japanese version, which has more features than ENG (and others) version of Clip Studio.
You can pretty much setup the sync however you want it.
But this is just one backup method I use.
I still copy my CELSYS folder to a hard disc/flash drive for safe keeping and remote use.
It is much faster as well.
Syncing folders via other software is just as valid, I guess.

6 years agoWatch out for sales, they sometimes go to $15. If you think cloud service is worth it, go for it.
Actually I think my materials are all at one place, it's just that eng clip studio is missing some of the services (and buttons!)
to customize the way it works.- English

6 years agoI understand what you're saying Memag and it is a good workaround... I don't know how much it is legit, because it's true that you're buying the softwares... But you're modifying them with a free non official mod.... BUT you've paid for the softwares...
And another "but" is the fact that the Celsys doesn't seems to wanting to exporting their softwares in a western market in a near future. So I can understand why you want to have the full package with a semi-legal workaround.- English

6 years agoWhy does CSP have "The Cloud" for the US market? Unless they already have it for the iPad edition?

6 years agoWell I understand how it might be perceived.
I don't use anything else besides CSP, and CS for additional backup and asset upload.
I can use ENG version, no problem. But then I don't have features that Jap version of CS has.
This goes both ways I guess. I have tons on materials shared for free in assets. I don't have to do that.
Also, I am always having a backup of my stuff on hard drive, so I don't really need the cloud.
But as it is available to me, there is no reason why I wouldn't use it.
Also I don't see why all versions and software packages are not the same.
Makes no sense to me. As far as I see, they like the global buzz around the product they make.
Many of those people that used Japanese version when it came out did a solid favor to celsys as they promoted the software.
Many of us did send requests for CSP to have English version. Manga Studio was way behind.
I have worked in a gaming company that had 200+ people, working with photoshop.
I promoted the hell out of the software and they, the company, converted and adopted it eventually.
They use CSP now.- English

6 years agoYeah Memag I fell you on this... I'm in the Accademy of fine Art of Rome and I always try to promote the software because whenever I listen "Photoshop is the best program for illustration and digital painting" I have shiver down my spine. (Case different is when I listen "Corel Painter is the best software for digital painting"... Is a software created ONLY for that)
CSP is a REALLY good software and a lot of my colleagues are switching to it... And I can understand WHY is difficult to export some features, like the cloud service because at the end of the day I think that they need server for a REALLY lot of data...But right now for me is a small victory that we are on par with the Clip Studio Paint Software version that they have in Japan. Maybe for the rest of the services (model and action) they are waiting the new software version to release them on the global market. This is the only thing that I can come up with.
And don't let me start to talk about Manga Studio and the Smith Micro. -.-
Memag sorry for asking but which game did your company release, maybe I played on of those? XD- English

6 years agoThe company makes HOPA games and it's one of the top (if not the very top) producers of such games today.
I worked in a special department, turned out more like a research team than actual development. Not related to HOPA games at all.- English

6 years agoLet me clarify more better: IS THERE A WAY TO EXPORT OR BACK-UP THE SUB-TOOL GROUP TO MATERIALS (ASSETS/CLOULD) instead of individual brushes which can be time consuming?

6 years agoCopy the folder (C:\Users\*****\Documents\CELSYS) and keep it somewhere safe.
Upload to gdrive, dropbox etc if celsys cloud is not working out for you.- English
