Can I open a file on multiple individual windows?

I have a canvas with different variations of a character on different layers, and I want to be able to open multiple windows, and have only the layers to each variation open in the different windows. For example, I have layer A, B and C, on windows A, B and C.
Is there a way to do it so only Layer A is visible on windows A, only Layer B is visible on windows B, etc?
I tried opening the same file on multiple windows, but whenever I hide a layer, it hides in all windows.
