This is a rudimentary question, but can you tell me how to tone a layer painted in color with that color?
With simple toning, only black tones could be pasted, so how can I make the color toned?

First, duplicate the layer painted in color
Tone the lower layer
Is the upper layer the lower layer clipping?
or
Do not duplicate
After toning, set the layer color with the drawing color
